My client was unrepresented when he applied for his Partner of a Worker (AEWV) Conditional Work Visa.
INZ wrote to him twice outlining their concerns that the couple did not meet living together requirement for the grant of a Partnership Work Visa. INZ offered my client a General Visitor Visa instead which they did not want to accept.
The couple approached me for help. I conducted a robust and urgent interview to look into the couple’s relationship history. I advised them to contact back INZ and request a final deadline for response despite their final assessment that my client was not eligible for a partnership work visa. We were given 5 business days to either accept or decline the GVV offer.
I wrote to INZ contesting their final assessment that my client did not meet the living together requirement. On the same date of submission, my client’s Partnership Work Visa was approved! What was even a great news was that it was granted with an Open Work rights as an exception to immigration instructions!
